Caring for Your Jewellery

To keep your jewellery looking its best:

Keep it dry
Remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Water, perspiration and humidity can cause metals and plating to tarnish or wear over time.

Avoid lotions, perfumes and chemicals
Apply perfume, hairspray, sunscreen, moisturiser and other beauty products before putting on your jewellery. Chemicals and product residue can affect both the finish of your jewellery and the natural lustre of pearls.

Last on, first off
Make your jewellery the final touch when getting ready and the first thing you remove at the end of the day.

Store with care
Store your jewellery separately in a soft pouch or jewellery box when it is not being worn. Keeping pieces separate also helps prevent scratching, tangling and unnecessary wear.

Clean gently
After wearing, gently wipe your jewellery with a soft, dry cloth to remove oils and residue. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive polishing products and liquid jewellery cleaners.

Perfume, hairspray, sunscreen, moisturiser and cosmetics can affect the delicate surface of a pearl. Always allow these products to dry before putting your pearl jewellery on.

Avoid water
Remove freshwater pearl jewellery before showering, swimming or exercising. Chlorine, salt water, perspiration and prolonged exposure to moisture can damage the pearl's natural lustre and may also affect the settings and other materials used in your jewellery.

Wipe after wearing
